Our Team
Sue Brewer’s degree in Art Education from BYU along with her experience of teaching high school art since 2004, have equipped her with the skills and knowledge to effectively guide and inspire her students. With expertise in ceramics and sculpture, she encourages her students to explore their artistic potential and embrace their unique talents.
In 2007, Sue was honored as Concurrent Enrollment Teacher of the Year for Salt Lake Community College. In 2020, Sue was selected as recipient of the Fiesta Bowl Charities Wishes for Teachers Grant which she used to purchase additional equipment for her classroom. In 2023 she was awarded the ALAQC PPSO Teacher Grant and was also recognized as Fine Arts Teacher of the Year.
Outside the classroom, Sue is mother to eight children and finds joy in mountain biking, playing basketball, and engaging in card games with her family. She has a love for music and enjoys playing the guitar. Her past coaching contributions at ALA in softball and track reflect her commitment to supporting students' growth both inside and outside the art studio. Sue has a true passion for helping students develop their talents and reach their full potential.

HIGH School Art
Visual Art education is a great way to nurture students’ imagination and creativity. Art allows them to explore the wonder of the world around them. We offer art classes in a variety of art media, including drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and ceramics. In these classes, students will analyze a variety of art concepts, gain exposure to diverse art styles, examine art history, and explore various art materials.
