Our Team

Irene Rowland has a history of highly successful performance-based choral groups emphasizing proper technique and part singing for even the youngest or inexperienced musicians.  Her general music teaching focuses on developing the whole musician based upon skill acquisition using singing, understanding of music notation and vocabulary, and a wide variety of time-honored literature.  She has over 20 years of teaching experience and is thrilled to be joining the ALA music family!

Our orchestra program provides students the opportunity to experience music ensemble with their strings instruments. Students can expand their love of music as a part of a small ensemble or full orchestra. Orchestra members participate in festival trips and combined musical events with our band and choral programs. Our orchestra program has a beginning, intermediate and advanced level so all are welcome to participate.

Choir is another opportunity that helps students develop leadership and teamwork, while cultivating a love for musical education within their Jr. High and High School experience. We encourage students to be well-rounded citizens and to experience the benefit music can have in their lives.
