Our Team
Dustin Willis is thrilled to be joining the ALA family as our orchestra director! He has a passion for music and music instruction. One of his greatest joys is to see his groups achieve excellence in all aspects of their musical experiences. Mr. Willis started his string career in 4th grade under the tutelage of Wayne Roederer. Since then, he has studied cello with Sonya Missal-Britten and Gordon Andrus. In addition to the cello, Mr. Willis is the founding director of the Southwest Chamber Chorale. He has been a member of the Arizona High School All-State choirs, Sonoran Desert Chorale, Millennial Choirs and Orchestras, and most recently with the Inspire Choir where he sat on the Executive Board and served as accompanist. Mr. Willis is an accomplished accompanist on both piano and organ. He is a member of the American Choral Directors Association and the American Guild of Organists. In his spare time, he enjoys writing music, spending time outside, and flying airplanes. Mr. Willis currently resides in Mesa with his wife, Julie, and their 5 children.

Orchestra Director
Our orchestra program provides students the opportunity to experience music ensemble with their strings instruments. Students can expand their love of music as a part of a small ensemble or full orchestra. Orchestra members participate in festival trips and combined musical events with our band and choral programs. Our orchestra program has a beginning, intermediate and advanced level so all are welcome to participate.
