WELCOME!

Our Fine Arts programs are designed to develop the musical, creative and expressive qualities of all students.  At the Junior High and High School level, we offer performing arts programs in band, choir, dance, theatre, orchestra, and visual  arts. Our instructors are confident, enthusiastic  professionals who are committed to excellence. Programs vary  but  every grade level is welcome to participate, and each subject  has beginning, intermediate  and advanced sections to choose from.

a little about us

band

Marching Band received the rating of 74.575 in their final competition. This placed them in the top third of their division and the top score of ALA! Our Advanced Band (Band 3) took some time at Disneyland where they participated in a recording session. The jazz band recently participated in the Highland High School Jazz Festival and worked with the ASU Jazz Band as well. The experience was amazing and they received an Excellent in their performance.

ART

Congratulations to Madelyn Peterson for “Best in Medium for Drawing” in the 2024 Congressional Art Competition! This piece was also awarded “Best of Show” in the 2024 ALA-QCHS Art Show!

Our HS Art Department was also able to raise over $1,800 for Emma’s Eats Food Bank this year for foster families and homeless teens with their annual charity event, Empty Bowls.

Dance

Motion 8 had a great first year as the new Dance Company team on campus.  The team had an amazing experience traveling to LA and taking dance classes at the Millennium Complex and Playground LA studios.

The team also performed at several assemblies, including the annual Veteran's Day assembly , held a dance camp for kids, grew in leadership skills, and in creating choreography!

Theatre

Our advanced/varsity classes: Adv. Tech, Actor's Studio & Company have competed at Regionals and State Thespian competitions, as well as Nationals and MTCA where not only did we have many solo, duos, and group events place, and one of our students won a $40,000 performance scholarship to AMDA! 

We had "Holiday Inn" adjudicated for the High School Musical Theatre Awards - the competition that leads to the Jimmy's in New York, and had 4 top ten finalists, and the entire company won for Best Dance Ensemble for "Shakin’ the Blues Away!”
